The thermal waters of San Giuliano, are very useful for all respiratory problems. These waters can also donate a certain tone and rediscover the physical well-being. The territory was inhabited since Roman times, when they were already exploited the marble quarries and stone. In the past this village was disputed by different localities like Pisa and Lucca, because of its position, passing along the only road that led to Lucca. The fighting ended only at the end of IVX, through the peace treaty enshrined in Monopoli. The baths were built by the Countess Matilda of Canossa, and over time had a significant importance.
